A Trip to LegoLand!

Credits for the review to: mk98 sweet

We had spent our fantastic and awesome weekend at Legoland located in Johor, Malaysia. There were Theme Parks and Water Parks in Legoland. However, we were only able to go Theme Park, for the access to the Water Park is a no-go as it was still under construction. We went to buy tickets at the ticket counter, and it was a very long queue!

For price information, please visit this website : http://www.legoland.com.my/Plan/Prices-and-Tickets/

The usual price for an adult is RM 144 and a senior or child is RM 116. However, children below the age of 3 years old are free to enter the theme park, except for the water park.

A Visit to Malaysia's National Monument

For my next destination, I looked forward with anticipation to the famous Tugu Negara, or better known as the National Monument. Located not far from the Tun Abdul Razak Memorial's location from my last post.

Here's the fun facts:
This National Monument(image below) is a massive sculpture that honors those who have died in Malaysia's struggle for freedom in the past, mostly against the Japanese forces during World War II and the Malayan Emergency, which was during the period between 1948 til 1960.

This monument(above) is located in the Federal capital, Kuala Lumpur.
According to wikipedia:

"It is the world's tallest bronze freestanding sculpture grouping. Every year on 31 July on Warriors' Day, the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, the Prime Minister, heads of military, and the police pay their respects to the fallen heroes by laying garlands at the monument."
For more information, please go to: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Monument_(Malaysia)

This monument is open for 24 hours, and admittance is of no cost.

P.S. (If you wish to visit this place, it is best to do so in the morning before the tourist arrive is the masses.)

A Trip to the Home of Malaysia's Second Prime Minister

I was assigned to research more of Malaysia's New Heritage Park in 2015. Of the few historical locations and attractions found, I was drawn to the house of the second Prime Minister of Malaysia, the Tun Abdul Razak Memorial.

The Tun Abdul Razak Memorial was launched by Dato' Seri Dr. Mahathir Mohamad, the Prime Minister of Malaysia on 6 May 1982. The building was initially the Sri Taman Building which used to be the official residence for Tun Abdul Razak back in 1962, until his death in January 1976. The building then turned into Tun Abdul Razak Memorial in order to remember all his good deeds and contributions to the country.

The building exhibits the materials belonged to Tun Abdul Razak as well as the materials regarding him who was better known as Father of Development" (Bapa Pembangunan) and as the Second Prime Minister of Malaysia (1970 – 1976).

Walking close to the walls and being able to see and picture what was the lifestyle of the second Prime Minister is interesting. The admission is free of cost, however, only photos from outside are allowed to be taken, as taking photos within the building is strictly not advised.

The opening hours are from Tuesday - Sunday (10am - 5.30pm), and is temporary closed on Friday from 12pm-3pm.

For my next post, it will be about the reverted 'Tugu Negara', or National Monument...

2. Universal Studio Singapore

After breakfast, we traveled to our next destination by MRT and monorail. Upon arrival at the entrance of the well-known theme park, we were incredibly excited and kept discussing which ride we should try out first.

After many different rides altogether, I personally favor the Transformer ride the most. It was very ecstatic. The graphics were so advanced and well developed that anyone might have been mistaken as if it were reality itself.
